Archie is the village strongman, and what passes for its local watch. He’s openly in the pocket of Garbine McNeill.
Garbine McNeill is the current proprietor of the Typhridge Inn. He runs the village fairly, but with a stifling hand.
Luben is a somewhat famous artist originally from Dorsau. He became known for the beautiful portraits he painted of the country’s previous rulers. When they were ousted in a coup 20 years ago, he fell out of favor and fled the country. He’s now settled in Typhridge Village where he sells portraits to any merchant who’s particularly full of themself, and otherwise paints masterful renderings of the countryside around Vanguard Peak.
Ursela is a young explorer in Typhridge Village. Her family owes a debt to Garbine McNeill, and while her brothers harvest and brew, she leads dangerous expeditions into the mountain ruins.

Ealdham is a paid courier who carries letters and packages throughout the northeast of Verdance. He has permission to travel within Azram as well as most countries.
Eirena is the goddess who lives inside of Vess after their ascension ritual was interrupted by slaughter.
Maynard ran afoul of his former master Lord Marcus Shimara. In his telling, he was wrongfully accused of theft to cover for the lord’s mismanagement of Hilmar. When he left Warain, he took his wife and eight children with him.
Word from Hilmar, however, claims that he’s a long time kleptomaniac.
Emil is a respected elder resident of Hilmar. Since the crop failures, he’s been a constant advocate for reduction of taxes and a persistant thorn in the side of Lord Marcus Shimara.
Hilario is the apothecary of Hilmar. He’s a skilled healer and used to dabble in alchemy.
Marcus Shimara is a minor rural lord who rules the land of Hilmar on the eastern frontier of Warain. The region used to be flush with the magic of the Golden Valley, but now the crops are failing and he’s in danger of losing his title.
